In 2009-2010 I had the privilege of working on a new concept at PCHowTo, a bundled, self-contained multimedia library for one of IMB’s premier Lotus products, Lotus Quickr. Quickr was an enterprise collaboration web application that allowed remote team members to collaborate in real time.
My task was to first create a demo environment, then learn everything there was to know about Quickr, then source and script the entire self-help video library. ‘What, that’s it?’ you might ask. No, not quite. We also translated the entire thing into 11 other languages, set up demo environments in those languages, and then filmed each and every lesson and course.
It proved to be quite the challenge, but we finally finished and the product was delivered in its entirety and with much fanfare to Lotus Quickr in late 2010.
